2006
Rotary clubs in Area 4 agreed to work together to sponsor an Arlo Guthrie concert as a way to raise money for GOL.
2004
The Fairfield Rotary Club opened its hearts and used funds from District 7980 to save the life of an Iraqi girl.
As part of a Gift of Life project, six children were brought to the NYC area in December 2004 for heart surgery at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. Funding for one of the children (about $6,000) came from District 7980 GOL funds.
